i'm with steem, when was hight a measure of health ;)

I laugh when people talk about protein as a single "thing" ;)

there are NINE essential (meaning can not be synthesised) amino acids phenylalanine, valine, threonine, tryptophan, isoleucine, methionine, histidine, leucine, and lysine.

beef for example has phenylalanine as its limiting amino acid.......................

YET Complete proteins are also found in some plant sources such as spirulina, quinoa, soy, buckwheat, hempseed, and amaranth, among others.

we are definatly omnivores, and scavengers, but do we have more "meat" teeth "or vegge" teeth.

in my opinion we've got the "meat and three (side)veg" the wrong way round, should be "3 veg and a side of meat"
Did i mention i like meat?

Hamish it is important to have Omega 3,6,9 not just 3, and in the right ratio.

i'm with steve

Advantages of tall:
As Hamish said.
Advantages of short:
If you're stranded on a desert/antarctica with food shortage short people may live longer. Think big car - needs more energy to move around, or even while idling.
Same as in humans - more muscles take up more energy even while all you do is sleep.

Agreed - and reading from the Flaxseed oil label it contains Omega 3,6 and 9.

Tall people are more likely to be placed in management positions,,, sad but true descrimination.

I like being Mr Average ( in physical terms) , not too tall , not too fat ,, just right:)

Hamish ,, I'm definately not "fired up" about others being vego's ,, choice , consequence, result. The most important thing to me is people have CHOICE.
By the way ,, the last time I hunted down and ate red meat uncooked and without tools was on my last holiday to Thailand ....., Grass-hoppers are red meat???? Ants and ant eggs classified as ??? Also pork is often eaten uncooked ,, mixed with garlic and thrown down with VERY hot chillies ,, YUM.

Steve has it right ,, our diet should be 60% veg , 25% fruit and 15% meat.

T-bone steak is a veggie ,,,isn't it??? please.

Its the natural ebb and flow of things. THis has come about due to the mineing/building boom - and also due to the Govt neglecting trades and aprenticships for years. There will now be a rush of people taking up trades - then in a few years time supply and demand will mean lots of people with trades and less work - and wages drop again.

Sadly in these days of anti-discrimination laws that's no longer true Chappo....

We've even positively discriminated to assist the jockeys to rise to the same heights....

Giving them gas-lift chairs has not only enabled them to actually see over the boardroom table, but to actually see eye to eye with those whose natural destiny and diet pre-ordained their managerial positions.... the meat eaters....

It often leads to an over-inflated self-perception by the sprout eating pasties commonly known as "shortarse" syndrome.....

As much as we (and they) might like to maintain a new-found order and equality.... in reality it's an illusion....

As much as they pump up the gas-lift and huff and puff their vertical equality, their feet still don't touch the floor....

And if you put your finger on the top of their heads, you can get them to spin around really fast.....

Just stand back.... centrifigal force and projectile tofu and mung bean spew is not a pretty sight ....

Steve,,,I'm a tradie manager,,,double smiles. Can't say I'm earning HUGE money , but if I was willing to head to the mines I'd probably be starting on around 200K. For now my life is nicely settled in Sydney , so not tempted.

Can't wait to retire in Thailand,,,sitback relax ,watchthe AP fish, vegies and my kids grow.

No I'm not going to bury the kids in my grow beds.
