Magic DP, easy to weld, very strong and rust resistant.

Apart from squishing the ends, they are good to work with DP.
It's alot easier than the wooden frames I have built for the original GB's which take heaps of messing about.
An added bonus is the screw together ends so you will not have off cuts if you plan well.

Alot of sheds are built out of them in this neck of the woods and I even know of a house that has been constructed from them (but don't tell the shire  )

I salted the tank last night to 3ppt as the trout were still acting funny :geek:
This mornings feeding was back to normal, fish flying everywhere and eating well.
Don't know why the salt has perked them up but hey, It's working

Too true Gemmell, It's certainly worked here.
This arvo when I got home and feed them they were back to normal  .

I have another problem with the new tank (IBC), I THOUGHT I cleaned it well enough, 3x to be exact but a remnant of hydrocloric acid must still be there, I only have the goldies in it atm but they started to get whiteish on there sides.
I've salted that tank as well and water changed about 50% so I'll see what happens from there.

Got a nitrite reading Gnash ? .... salt might have alleviated a nitrite irritation....

The IBC with goldies I haven't tested Rupe, BUT another IBC in a very CLOSE location  has the same problem and that was cleaned thoroughly as well.

gnash, i cant see it being the HCl............... other than a PH problem its not going to hurt.

was it just straight HCL? i think the highest conc. you can get is 33% which is the saturation point of HCl Gas in water

is very smelly at that conc. isn't it? ;)

how i survived my early teens i will never know. ;)

A 13 yo should not know what 33% HCL smells like, what a HVDC shock feels like, nor that black powder burns quicker under compression ;)

HCl , but i dont tink you were correcting me on the capital L? ;) lol.

Hydrochloric acid.

maybe you thought i meant HCN? given what i know now and how prevalent it is in plant material i recon i could knock up a lethal dose from a box of apricots and a small qty of enzymes. (and a paperclip )
