hi all, I was just about to go and purchase a float switch (to make sure my tank does not get emtytied should my sump pump fail) and the old website is no longet there. Are they still around? Suggest somewhere else I can get a float switch with a 5m lead?

Word of warning for nightingale- Im on my second pump from them (glutton for punishment) and wont buy a 3rd.
The first one seized at 18 months old with very little use and the second one is on the way out too

With 5m cable, $27 including delivery to NSW ! Better than $100

what pump did you buy cheapest are you running 24 /7 mate has one running 3 years no prob

Both pumps were pretty small (500watt) cent pumps with pressure switches. I had a suspicion that the seizing may have had something to do with the limited use I gave it as every time I turned it on I got a fair bit of rusty water coming through. It may perform better if it was continuously running.

Always try to buy pumps with ceramic shafts and plastic/stainless impellors for Aquaponic water.

Even stainless steel shafts dont last long.

Ah that explains it i now the pumps well i have 4 here now they dont like to be used once every month or so i had one running on the farm pressure system for ten years [ probley still running 15 years ] these ones i have have been used for grey water not used over winter then turned on and bingo stuck dumped then i get them
