Well, it's been a while, but I have just returned from a trip to Canberra (Australia's Capital, for non-oz members!), visiting sundry children and friends. Had a great time, but more specifically test rode some trikes... Greenspeed GT5, WizWheelz Terratrike Cruiser, Catrike, cheapo chinese rip-off, and Ice QNT. Lots of fun, and I ordered the Ice QNT...75mm of rear suspension and the sublime build quality did it for me. I will always buy quality!!! Now I have to wait...not good at waiting...hmmm.
Of the others, the Catrike came in second place, the only negative was the transmission of vibration through the aluminium frame into my back, having a migraine at the time had nothing to do with it. I was less than impressed with the Greenspeed bronze bearings in the headsets...come on guys, in this world of supurb bicycle engineering why have such an inefficient setup? :cyclopsani:

Hey there,

Seems like we have more in common than just AP.

I started and ran a company building and exporting recumbent trikes all over the world (mainly the USA) for about 4 years.

I have just today taken delivery of an AlliGT KV4 kitset that I will be building over the comming months - as if my new AP system is not enough to keep me busy!

Anyway - its just a pile of parts at the moment but when its finished it will look something like this - although mine will also have a soft top roof:

It use to be - but there are more Kangaroos bouncing down the street in Canberra so they thought it was more appropriate that it become the capital...

Gotta say I fear the same thing even on the Gold Coast - so I added an electric assist kit so I can outrun the laughter! Also added a roof for a bit of extra protection.

Well, here it is... Trice Q-NT ... arrived on Thursday, and been tinkering with it ever since. Goes like a dream, but my legs need toning. (Even though they are sexy already). Did 20 klms today, up hill and down really quickly. Comfy as, but that is what I wanted.

How's your project going, Hamish? I tried to talk the missus into one of those as well, but I don't think so ... just yet.
