Yes , was referring to the quality of Sydney AP ers . ( Although some red-necks think we can't read).
Growbest has a good rep , but I read a study on growth that used the "Select" Brand and they had good results.
I guess they would have similiar qualities , so availability and cost will be the selection factors for me.

Ah this is an old piece of history , I ran the Rowing and Whitewater venues (Sydney International Regatta Centre) for IBM at the Sydney Olympics and started using the ID to communicate with my volunteer s and grew attached to it.

What about you Rupe, where do you purchase your food from?

current Aquablue prices (nned to add freight. how does this compare to others?

Anyone that needs pellets... PM me .... I'm back up Grafton soon and will dropping into Aquablue on the way back..... We might as well get a bag (or two) and split it....

Need to include your fish size in the PM as well.... might have to get a combination of crumble and other sizes...

$18 a kilo????

Normally economics of fish growing is ,product sells at double food cost.
Food coversion say 2:1 so $36 food for 1 kg SP
Can't see myself selling Silver perch at $72 a kilo.

Must be a typo,,,fish food can't be $18 a kilo unless it has gold in it.

Yep that swhy I am asking others where they purchase and for how much. I currently have 12 SP 25-35cm and 15 6-10cm . Not eating much down here (Wollongong_ at the moment as the temps cool, but still enough nitrates to grow the herbs I want in 2 bath tubs.

erk , so the most cost effective way of getting fish food in Sydney is to ship it in from WA or Queensland ?

Murray has a 15 kg bag ~$70 plus freight.

I noticed that PetStock (pet food chain) are suppliers for Ridley Agriproducts, so I have emailed my local PetStock store to see if they can can supply 5kg bags. Wait and see what they say.

Most fish breeders can sell you some, we could have brought food for $4 per kilo from the perch farm. Aparently $4 to $5 per kilo is the average price.
