GB are 500ltr x 4 ( and 2 more soon )
Hope this helps.

Ammonia, eat your heart out :D

C1, both Gnash and I feed the trout as much as they will eat, I have a couple of goldfish in the tanks to pick up any left on the bottom, seems to work well.

I would say two heaped handfulls per 50 trout per day or so....once you cycle

Too impatient lol

Anyone use a catfish in with their trout/silver/jade perch to keep the bottom of the tank clean?

I'm fairly sure there are two catfish in with our perch, as to keeping the bottom of the tank clean! Hah! The tank is black, the algae is dark, it is deep, it's hard to tell if it's clean or not!

 ...
First fatality.
Length 12 cm
weight 25grams (missing his/her tummy) say 30...
If I feed on an average weight less than real my fish will be under fed,
this may increase survival battles pn the other hand fat fish  and Ammo to burn.

This trout was one of the smallest..
prolly got hammerd in the fracas during feeding.

I think I need to increase the feeding regime.
100 grams/day is not much  for 150ish
I know, I know, 1.3% of body weight per day.

Peas Bbeans coriander carrot sprouted, lings are all settled in and standing up!
C1

How much circulation (motion) do you have OBO?
Do they swim in all directions, here the water swirls quite well for a while ( gets a boost every few minutes for 15 min every hour.
Venturi and reduced bottom outlet drives it well 8)
I have managed to regulate the height of the water in 'flood' a very simple process.

I will be monitoring and expecting some changes  before :HSM: and balance :flower:

The happiest trout are the ones in the backyard, which is the equivalent of a washing machine. The front ones are in fairly still water, and are not as happy at the moment, but i changed the way it all runs today so they will have better water soon.

All tests are the same from front to back system, but the front system has murkier water from lack of flow (fixed).
