Sorry Scott, I picked up 50 on Saturday. I should have asked if anyone else wanted a few so that you wouldn't have had to get the full 50.
Mine varied in size from 15-20 cm.

Yep, I'll take em :D PM coming.

On the aphids, I had them all last year, then my peach tree lost all its first leaves, then a month later was covered in ladybird larvae...they never made it to the AP though

HSM is here as predicted.
Main AP system is fine, but Ammonia has gone through the roof in temporary tanks.

A quick rethink of things, has seen my previously neat and tidy system turned into a maze of temporary air-lines, pumps, hoses, plimmbing and cables. :|

Good thing it is still raining and the rainwater tank is being filled as fast as I use it. :hsm:

Haveing fun!

Yep, lots of wires and tubes everywhere. I know that feeling. I have often though about making a crash cart on a dolly that has everything on it for starting new systems, but then I decided that next time I would just pre-cycle with ammonia.

I have never seen ammonia that high!

Heh - been there done that :P

After a big spike like that, you should never see another one, once it recovers. (unless you go absolutely silly with fish)

The systems seem to get a really big colony of bacteria and react a lot quicker next time to keep the levels lower.

All tanks now plumbed up to growbeds.
Ammonia is now about 1.0
46 of the 50 new trout are still with us.

Not sure that my growbeds will cope with the sudden increase in fish load.
Ive rigged up a temporary trickle filter to help with the Ammonia.

Filter contains, aged gravel from my aquarium, nylon bird netting, bio balls and Dacron filter material.

Scott, those grow beds look great. Any frost damage to smaller plants last week?
