Yes! Like I did on HHO cell I made! Cut Rings off the end of the pipe:
Squeeze then down and insert into end of pipe and then insert you end piece/plate against that. If you glue it all in place surely it will handle the pressure..

OK, I've done it. Is this what you had in mind? I've glued it with PVC weld and clamped it. Tomorrow I'll see if it's strong enough. If not I'll also bolt it on. I've bought a Metabo Heat Gun ,nozzles and PVC welding rods and will attempt the PVC plastic welding this week and report back.

Looks good to me. You also have plenty of room to put bolts in if necessary. Surely that pvc glue made a good bond between your growbed and the end rest (u's).

Looking forward to the installation of the ends.... so I can see if it works.... for my own future growbed experiments. :D

Great job!....

I know you've been busy but you did promise to post more pictures on how they constructed those circular tanks built with the curved blocks. By the way, are you okay? I heard there was some trouble in S.A. lately.

Sorry Angie, my fault I clean forgot about those images. I'll get a full set together and post.

OK along the coast here (at the moment) but very tense inland. About 40-50 dead so far. We have between 3 Million and 4 Million illegal immigrants in this country, mainly fleeing from the madness of Mad Bob Mugabe in Zimbabwe. We also have folk from Malawi (great gardeners and house "boys"), Mozambique (mine workers and car thieves), Nigeria (drug dealers and con-artists) and Somalians (shopkeepers and money changers).

The strain that these extra mouths to feed puts on the economy affects mainly the poor and it's just built up to boiling point now. They'll let off some steam, spill a lot of blood and then they'll all be back in the pubs drinking together in a week or two. Strange continent this.

I have ben battling gale force northerly winds for a week now and the greenhouse has "sort of" held up. Because the site is still all sand we've been badly sand-blasted and building progress has been slow. When this hot wind blows from the interior everyone is grumpy and argumentive, we have loads of accidents at work and crime and suicide stats are normally up. So far I've had a gable blow in, two workers fall from ladders, they've torn a hole in the greenhouse plastic with a piece of wire and I've been eating "sand"wiches for days now. Nothing a shower and a few beers at the end of the day can't sort out though.

Sorry no pictures as I can't stand up straight in the wind to take a decent photo.

I'm glad to hear that you're still alright. How do you intend to remedy the wind problem? It sounds like it will be an on-going issue for you. Is there any way of building a wind break or for a long term fix, planting tall trees to defuse the intensity?

DanDMan- I hate to disagree with you but H2O is water, H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide. When I first read your post I thought you meant heavy water but that is D2O.

Well, thats not what I was trying to say... Im not so clear sometimes. HHO gas is water that is separated into its mono atomic state; hydrogen hydrogen oxygen. Hydrogen and oxygen in their natural state form weak bonds and are always naturally found in the H2 and O2 state and the reason that in real life bottled hydrogen does not embrittle steal. But even then thats just the term used, I dont know how correct it is.
