Rupert, I'd like to have another try at quoting previous Posts properly. As you may notice, when I attempt it, the resultt is a mess. Could you please give me some idiot-proof instructions?

Adrian, to quote the whole post (as above), just click the "quote" icon on the top right of the post in question.....

Not a habit we'd encourage as a normal practice, frankly pages and pages of "quoted" posts gets really cumbersome and difficult to read IMHO....

If you want selective pieces.... then you can do as above, and then edit out the pieces you don't want ....

i.e.

Or just highlight the piece you want to quote and copy and paste it (like a normal windows app) into the post reply box you open (or "quick reply" if you choose).....

Enclosing the piece to be quoted with "{quote}" at the start of the quote and ending it with "{/quote}" at the end of the quote....

NOTE ... you will have to replace the { & } with [ & ] respectively...

Had to write it up this way so that the system didn't display it as a quote :D

Thank you, Rupert. I've copied your careful, detailed instructions (in pdf) and will have a go at the next opportunity.

What the hell is a drill rod? Is it used to sink a bore for water?

Here they are mainly used for drilling into the rock/dirt looking for gold etc but they do use them for water as well in some applications.
