how long were they dead for? i considered eating mine after 12 hours but couldn't enjoy the meal even if it was perfectly ok.

The one was freshly dead, because it was still kind of moving and I tried to revive it by putting it in the bubble stream. That never seems to work BTW. The other one had been on the bottom and I too worried about it, it was a little stiff compared to the other which was still floppy, but I couldn't tell anything from the flavor and it seemed OK while filleting it. Ask me again in 24 hours! :smile:

i did contemplate eating mine, but they looked like they had been dead awhile.

my water qualtiy has improved greatly since i have less fish, i can see the bottom, and think i have about 10 fish left. i will press on and take ppl up on their generous offers of fish once i have gb's in place
