HI all, I have had some success and some failures with growing certain veggies. The biggest problem I have are aphids, the bastards.

But I haven't had any success at all growing beets. Anyone hae any hints? I am thinking maybe my seeds are bad since they have problems from the very start but I dunno. Any thoughts?

I suspect maybe it is a seed problem. I have beets growing with slow "root" growth but fabulous leaf growth. I figure that works well... we'll just have beet greens for now until the beetroot develops.

Aparently (I think from TC) root crops need potassium. I have just started adding seasol to my beds with beetroots, will see what happens :)

nope. just fish food. added a bit of epsom salts once. and of course the salt. but have made no additions of NPK.

give your system a bit of time, if they fail this season try them again next, you may be pleasantly surprised :)
