Ulp @ $1.449 av
Dies @ $1.629 av

Up until a few years ago diesel was always at least 30 c less per litre, but they reckon there is higher demand for it now so up it goes.

Come on,....., they tell me Chinese workers only get a cup of rice and half a fish for a day's work,,,no mention of Diesel.

Consumption has definately risen in a number of places , Asia,Africa ,the middle east and Latin America. So much for global warming!!!!. :P

I just started a thread that relates to biofuels, I hate paying for petrol, especially at $1.50 p/L. I'd get a horse if I was allowed to have one on my property. council won't even let me have chickens so I have no chance.

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3374

ps... 4WD's are awesome...

Aparently diesel is so much more expensive now because it is more highly refined for the CRD's.

hmm i thought it was the opposite ...
ohh after readin that articel it makes sense i guess with extra costs in production comes extra costs for consumers etc etc

tried to talk to my boss about fuel prices being high and our ( as in humanity) adiction to wasting oil, he said that the goverment should just lower the taxes on it to give us a little relife, which as a short term solution to inflation i can sorta understand however he didnt seem to grasp the bigger picture :sigh

Cheers

I think the fuel prices have alot to do with the falling value of the U.S. dollar. Because worldwide oil is (Mostly) traded in U.S. dollars. So if a U.S. dollar is worth less than it takes more of them to buy the same amount of oil. Anyway here are some entertaining if not interesting links.

Now what is causing the falling US dollar? Oil?

Found an interesting paper about increased fertilizer prices and how the ridiculous US ethanol policies are pushing prices higher.

Have a great day. :)
