I know the smart valve will only open when the reservoir is depleted...

But what stops your reservoir from overflowing Jim.... do you manually open the tubing line supply...

Or have you got it hooked to a timer or is just a slow constant drip feed to the reservoir??

Ah OK...So the thin poly feed tubes go directly to the smart valves then?... and the "larger" poly tubing is just plumbed into the rest of the water distro?

Was wondering what stopped the reservoir fill.. Doh

The smart valve is pretty smart.

Do keep posting pics of the auto pots. Im interested to see how they do. They were a disaster for hydroponics. Well, they were for me anyway.

Hi D-D what ever, I have been using auto pots for 6 years in hydroponics even the smart valve mark1 was a bit of a dineasor but it worked very well, the mark 2 is the Most simplest and efficient valve i have used no problems ever,i run NFT and auto pots ,the auto pots are a lot more efficent and productive .
Regards Jim.

So your conclusion is that growth in the autopots is better than growth in NFT... using AP water??
