I know its a long shot , but I wonder if anyones tried normal old hemp in their greywater system ( AP should be reserved for FOOD crops , should it not ? )

seems like an interesting pairing , I wonder If I could set up a greywater system that feeds enough hemp plants to make enough of the paper that inevitably goes back into the system through the "porcelain telephone"

I think I might have thought up an infinite loop - make paper , use paper , flush paper , paper grows , make paper , use paper ....

Police arrive with a warrent written on non-hemp paper to check out your "hemp" plants...

Notice illegally plumbed grey-water system.... file report on non-hemp paper to the local council.... which issues you with a compliance order....

On non-hemp paper of course....

Thought you could only grow hemp with a license

Laws here restrict growing any type of hemp--paper-hemp or medicinal-hemp. I think Canada is allowing paper-hemp with special licensing. Not sure of other country's laws.

hemp makes a decent quality paper doesn't it?
I certainly know people are crazy about the hemp issue... beats me why the stuff will do nothing for you if you try smoke it.

Very low levels of THC.
Also provides oil, very good for humans, clothing, ropes and stock feed. Our American cousins forced it to be banned overhere.
Yes you need a licence to grow it in WA, but no you won't get one.

If preserved properly ( and made properly in the first palce ) hemp paper ( or papyrus based paper for that matter ) have an AMAZINGLY long shelf life , something on the order of ten times that of high quality art papers , which deteriorate after 100 years even if protected & preserved to museum conditions . From what Ive read , anyway

Over a many year fight I think the trials commence this year. Not sure that company actually produces (grows) hemp.
Ring up the ag dept and ask them if it would be allright to grow hemp in your backyard Boris

In the US, I've read that the DEA forbids any kind of hemp even though they acknowledge that some kinds don't contain "usable" amounts of THC. It's a zero-tolerance kind of policy.

Couple of States have legalised the growing of it, though Anslinger's legacy still remains at the Federal level.

It's been grown (under license) in Tasmania since 1995 and Victoria since 1998....

It's prohibited to publish or disclose crop locations and the legally allowable upper limit of THC -- the psychoactive substance in cannabis -- is 0.03 per cent, compared with up to 20 per cent found in the illicit form of cannabis.
