David, I have ordered 200 barra to pick up next Monday. Am stressing about the temp they need, as water temp out of the water tank here is 17 degs. Have filled my vat to 3/4 and am trying to get the temp up using hot water before kicking on a couple of 300 watt heaters. Completely against the grain, but the irrational part of me said "do barra, they are cool" What a dope!

But I figure if I get the temp up to 24 or so, they may not feed well, but they will be happy enough until the weather warms up (which it looked like it ws going to over the last couple of hot days we had, which spurred my decision to go barra)

Also they are cheap and local. 60 cents each for 50mm.

If anyone in Adelaide wants to add to my order, let me know.

For that price, I might be a dope and take some off your hands.
What sort of numbers were you hopping for as I have limited space?

i have been taking temperatures from my tank, and it has ranged from 16-26 degrees, but its averaging around 20 degrees, and i dont want to spend heaps on heating as alot of heat would be lost atm

so i will give barra a miss this time

If anyone is looking to do a Silver Perch order, I will be looking for some (20 - 30) in about a month. I am going to start cycling with a small boi-filter and goldfish and then add the growbeds and perch later (when I get some time).

David,

If you only want 5 or 10, you could come out and pick them up from my place and just give me whatever I paid for them. That would leave me with 190 or so which would be fine

As for pipes on the roof, time is the only enemy!
