Seems you could use some night cameras and sell the video to an animal show. Or call on of our supermarket news rags and they will market it as space aliens. :)

Lot's of fun and games today. Two greenhouses (from Spain) arrived by container. We offloaded at 8:00am and transported them to their respective locations at the two commercial sites in Knysna that I am busy building. Hundreds of loose poles, spans, clips and things. Trying to sort everything out was a lot like a jigsaw puzzle.

To really complicate matters (as if we weren't busy enough) the truck with the big 500mm pipes that we are using for growbeds also arrived and we had to offload them as well. To give you an idea of the weight of each of these pipes, it took 7 guys to offload and carry one 6m pipe.

Obviously being like a little boy on Christmas Day, I couldn't resist starting to assemble the greenhouse to "see what it looks like."

Now I need a beer (or three), a shower and some sleep (in that order).

Cheers

I'd say I need 3 - 4 weeks before gravel goes into growbeds. Cutting the 500mm PVC pipes is no joke and the greenhouse alone will take me a week. I'll send my private jet to fetch my Oz buds for the ribbon cutting.

I cut the first pipe with an angle grinder with a very fine blade. I marked it carefully and then cut it through with three light cuts. The wall thickness is over 10mm !!. My staff said I looked like a "Smurf" afterwards because I was covered from head to toe in blue dust. I am worried about inhaling this dust so I am getting a proper mask I have now borrowed a table saw with a fine diamond blade from a mate, to cut the remaining pipes.

I am going to close the ends with PVC sheet, PVC-weld adhesive and then seal with marine silicone along the inside seam just in case.
