Random memory bugs... opening/closing tabs doesn't release allocated memory properly.... huge overhead.....instability... no real gain in functionality....

And apart from that I just prefer multiple windows rather then tabs :D

took some getting used to, but tabs all the way now :)

and when you compare FF with 5 open tabs to 5 IE windows the memory saving is substantial

Ok, Ok.... you tab freaks...... if you luv the tab feature of Firefox....

Then why not tab ALL your windows programs.... http://www.wintabber.com/install/WinTabber.exe

Makes cut/copy/paste a breeze as well :D

Tabs for windows, nice idea! Im using a product called aston. It replaces windows explorer completely (not internet explorer, but the windows shell). Since I have done that I have NO system crashes and more memory and faster responses. While it does not have tabs per say the task bar at the bottom is nice and when you hold the mouse over one you get a thumbnail view of what that button would bring to the front.

Isn't that what the taskbar is for???

Open Word 2007 and show me how very little real estate you left to see your document...

Fact of the matter is... it is running within an internet browser, how secure can that be?

It's not TimC.... just reporting the current window on the highlight title bar

And as you can see from the screen grab... there's Task Manager, Windows Explorer, two IE windows, a PDF file, and a Word doc tabbed within the WinTabber process...

And you can close any tab at any time or release it back to a normal windows process....

Saves a lot of Alt-Tabbing or taskbar clicking...

Happily plays media files with the tabbed window... only tried Media Player...

And all tab windows have full functionality

I think everyone needs to get themselves a MAC... Once you've tried Exposé, Windows is never the same...
