Scott,
Pardon my ignorance, but what is 'Flashing' ????
My SP's, also from the Monya stable, are doing fine but I have not seen a flasher (or even a streaker) among them.
I feel I'm missing something here

yes, that is flashing. usually if the fish is irritated by disease or by excess ammonia they will scratch themselves on the bottom of the tank, so you can see their shiny sides and they flash.

Flashing is not usually a problem unless you see a LOT or ALL of your fish doing it

I wasn't sure what is was, until a few days ago!
Obvious though, when you see your own fish "flashing".

However they appear to be fine now..

I have one or two in each tank doing it... it is ibviously not a problem unless your whole tank starts getting into it, then it is like a mass flashing, and someone should call the cops . Keep us informed Scottt, and keep an eye on your levels.

Monya,
Levels are fine ATM
PH 7.8, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0,Nitrate 0
Fish and plant's going great.

I'd like to publicly thank Monya, for his persistent efforts in overcoming some significant hurdles to supply us with healthy, happy and hungry little fish!

Cheers :D

That'd be right... give the fish to someone else to feed and look after...

Then nip round for a bbq when they're grown and ready to eat

Aphids
Bok choy has been growing great!
I've been eating heaps, but now I have an aphid infestation.

Anyone have any sure fire way at dealing with them ?
or, maybe
I should pull it all out, kill the bugs and give something else a go :?:

High protein greens!!!! , pull off the worst infected leaves and feed them to the fish.

I have used garlic and chilli spray with somesuccess on aphids. Now I grow flowers that attract aphid killers , small wasps / lady beetles etc.
