I heard on that Robert Hughes series about Australia that there used to be an inferiority complex about cultural contributions since it was a young country.

I grew up in central Ohio and there were no good bands from there; the only good bands migrate to the coasts. Most of our music is actually from or heavily influenced by the UK. The only exceptions have borrowed from the different kinds of black music, or going way back you have stuff like folk or bluegrass.

I actually listened to a lot of INXS and Hoodoo Gurus when I was a lad.

Think we should do a poll on the two best American bands.

Jackson Five and the Brady Bunch?

BK Probably more culture in a small tub of youghurt than anything, apart from a big tub of youghurt

That's not an even match the J5 would beat the crap out of the Brady Bunch. The Brady Bunch only had like three good songs - "Time to Change", "Sunshine Day", and "Keep On".

In a fight between Journey and Styx, Queen would kick both their asses.
