Hello,
I am a mom of four too and we are looking to start small, but increase size very quickly. We will be moving to northern USA (Minnesota) in about six months and we already own several large and empty buildings up there (on our farm) that we want to put systems in.

My big question is about indoor lighting for the system. We can do tilapia as they are already commercially grown in MN. It is COLD there at least 7 months out of the year so an outdoor system is not a good idea. If we don't have a greenhouse what kind of lights do you guys recommend? Can someone direct me to a thread about this?

Oh, I ordered a DVD set a couple weeks ago. Any ideas how long that takes to get to the States?

Most of the lighting threads should be in the Hardware section or in General System Discussions.

When you use the Search function, type in the topic of interest, then scroll down a bit, and on the left side, click Posts, not Topics. It will refine the search more for you. Have fun!

Lighting- as Jaymie said- there has been quite a bit of discussion about different types.
Increase in size very quickly I guess thats what we want our fish to do!

I can hardly wait to have fresh fish and a decent salad during a blizzard---which is every other day where I am from LOL.

What happened to the white cross? I notice Switzerland now has the Aghan flag. Norfolk Island, too. And Curious_George from the USA uses the Kenya colours!

The Afghan flag is very helpful to me, because 99% of spammers pick that one because it is at the top of the list. It makes them easier to spot
