The other night we made pizza with homemade base, then tomato and cheese, then abpout an inch thick of AP spring onions, basil and water cress topped with prawns and chilli. I am telling ya, it was unreal, the watercress is the perfect companion for seafood. (and our growbeds are full of the stuff lol)

Do garlic chives really taste like garlic?

Indeed they do DDM...... They are a broad/flat steamed variety of normal chives. They have a very strong flavour.

Yeah, you will know when you ask your self... "Where did that hedge of chives come from?"

You can't really eat it fast enough...

Tonight we had a rather sudden change of plans to the menu. Short story is we were able to separate silver perch from the barramundi due to a sudden change in water temp after topping up the tank. I know what you are thinking, I had fixed the problem of running the hose and purchased a tap timer. However it works best if fitted to the tap and not just sitting on the dining table. I did not overflow abything, just added lots of water. The other problem was that the airstones were not working as the feed container was sitting on the tubes and no air was coming from the air pump. Note to self to monitor this. The silver perch are actually less tolerant to this variant than the barramundi (which are doing fine.)
