we don't have hummingbirds as such in Australia, but we do have tiny birds

Weve got Emus and Ostrichs close by lots of them emmigrated to Texas in the last 20 years or so. :lol: They give me the willies :oops:

Your sunbirds look alot like our house wrens but are much more colorful.

We had a visitor to the BYAP shop last week and it hung around for a few promotional shots. It disappeared after a couple of days but left behind a present. We will be watching over the coming days and weeks to keep you updated on the emergance of babies :)

This is the eggsac named "ootheca" and is protecting many multiples of the young mantids.

Hmmm.never seen a painted bunting here before. They sure are purty! I'll have to keep my eyes pealed. For me the most fun brids to watch are the wood ducks we get up in the trees. Not because they are pretty, but because they are so clumsy trying to stand on the branches. They always make me laugh. I have seen some mighty small hummers, Until you see them land, you don't fully appreciate how small they are. And badfish is right...the walking sticks around here can scare the bageesies out of you.
