Your system is looking great C1. Keep it coming. Love the waterfall! IF you wanted to reduce the sound a bit use an alteration on Joels idea, instead of having the last waterfall "drop" straight into the water, run something diagonally to run it smoothly into the water (like a mini-ramp). Should reduce the noise a little bit.

Cheers,

Duncan.

PH 7.5 n-rite 0 ammon 0 n-rate 0 now as I don't have any fish this is to be expected.
Got to get some fishes

I have added 4th&5th grow beds.
I am keeping the plant species to minimal feeders until the fish get here,
which I am hoping will be soon.
4x lettuce variaties, eng spinach and parsley.
I have tomatoes growing in hydroton ready for the transplant.
end of update.

Update-
After the frog episode(thanks Steve for the close eye on things) I have been watching the levels pH n n & a.
I didn't expect any N N or A to have levels above 0.
I use only rainwater and the pH hit 8+, 2 days ago.
After a change out the pH is 7.2 this morning.
I have been adding fish food with no fish, sounds silly, apparently the contents of the food is not much different from the fish poo.
I can easily be swayed if someone knows something other than that.
But the addition of food is in prep for the arrival of fishies.

I was a bit eager and planted out the seedlings that I had, mostly light feeders and they have about doubled in size in 10 days.
I am waiting with bated breath for the fish and then the cycling to start.
I understand that true 'cycling' may take 6 months to occur.

My understanding is that cycling is the conversion of poo=ammonia-nitrite-nitrate=plant growth put very simply.
I have 5 very small grow beds and this is not sufficient ratio to do the job of removing waste from the water body.
However, very shortly there will be several large additions at present secret(I'd show you but. u know the rest).
I am hoping that grow beds will provide seed bacteria for the additions.
C1
