Wow, that's something. Some day the ocean will have many PPM of plastic crumbs in it. We truly are trashing the whole world. I personally hate it when the things I buy come in a plastic bag holding a plastic container with each part is further packaged in more plastic all held in place by plastic tape and plastic ties.. And the very item I'm digging for is plastic too. I need to recycle my plastics..

well not 25 years ago, but i distinctly remember the enviro education trend at school and on tv when i was in grade 5, so what does that make it? 20 years go.

and for the most part i'd have to say that my 30 something peers (except you weird lot!) are the plastic consuming fertilizer and pesticide using consumers from hell. Sure everyone KNOWS stuff now, and idealises about it, but in practive not much has changed from our parents

Fair enough. I still say even though things may not change with education/awareness, they will not change without it.

But sponsorship by maccas doesn't sound right :?

Adults or at least older persons set the 'attitude' for the 'next generation' (or to rebel against it if you lived in the sixtys and seventy's). Cooking now is a matter of do we upgrade to the extra fries and coke. Don't do it now, it will never happen.

This topic should probably have been on the 'venting thread'
