After the pancreas transplant, my husband had a similar line of staples. From just below the rib cage straight down the middle, around the belly button, and just a little further. (Yes, they stopped in time. :shock: ) He was not amused when they removed the staples, but have to admit, they did a nice job.

Yep the misses had some staples for the 2 'C' sections she had.

stitches of my first operation dissolved by themselves, had no problem,
but do not expect the new ones to do the same

got a pair of a rather special pliers from the hospital for my GP to cut the staples out in two weeks,
will see how it will go,
