Sounds like your having a heap of fun!

What liner did you use for your tank? and where from? just plotting a new system down the track.

Got it from B for $20ish/m, it's a pretty good rubber liner, 4m wide.

Kenny - re greenhouse cost, that has been what I have found also. I agree it is a joke. For what materials there are in the kits it is ridiculous. Shite - they are only a kit - ya gotta do all the work yourself.

Yeah mate, most things you can get cheaper in a kit, but they seems to use the artists formula when selling a greenhouse, materials x 3 + time + gallery commission... They should be at least 1/3 of what they cost. Bloody niche markets!

Only problem with those programs is I would never be able to get past the last step of accepting a power higher than myself ;)

YAY! No more testing! (well, not everyday) As you can see on the graph, things have been dead stable for the last 10 days, so not going to do anything. pH is high, but that's because I'm testing at 3pm each day, when I test at night, it's closer to 7.2ish, so not going to worry about it!

I think I'll let the plants pull the nitrates out of the water (i.e. they're seedlings now, I'll let them get bigger without adding more fish) to try and starve the algae, it's still hanging around and I would like to see what my redfin are up to!

So I think I'll start testing just the pH and Nitrate weekly for a while and wait till it hits 0, then hopefully no more algae!
