Me too Monya.... brought a twin pack of prepaid Nokia phones at Christmas.... $79 for the two phones... both came with $20 credit.....

Oh and bought for my son, a 7.1 mp digital slr camera with 10 x optical zoom lens, a 2.5 inch screen, 27GB of internal memory, an additional 1GB SD card, camera case, tripod for around $320....

I figure I can ring everyone up and tell them how good the quality of the pictures I take are .... for about half the price of an iphone.....

Oh ... and I can take them anywhere in the world and they'll work ... no problem

Why try to watch a movie on a credit card sized screen?

Fuji FinePix S5700 .... forgot to mention before.... has a Super Macro Mode which lets you move in as close as 1cm from your subject.

Now all I have to do is convince him to leave it at home... so I can use it

You can get them on Ebay now for about $250... and I've seen them in the camera shops (after Xmas of course) for about $280 ....

Yep - know the one. Mine is the model down, I bought it when it was more expensive than the S5700 is now. Unfortunatelly mine didn't last as long as I would hope. It has major problems with the autofocus now and there is no way I'm ever going to get it to take an in focus macro ever again :-(.

Sorry for the OT guys.

Way to go Nic. I got my iphone after the price went down. It has been awesome in all respects except the keyboard is too small.

I have posted a few time recently with it, but its a pain. But at the time it was the only phone to do all it can do. I would love to see cut and paste accross applications.

I like better than my blackberry.

Yeah jdphish it was $600 US for the 8gb when it first came out right?

Too bad mine isn't legit though, is yours with At&t? On another note out of the 4 million sold by apple 1 million is unknown as in apple hasn't had them connect with the specific service providers (they have been hacked) :D

Thats right, it cost $600 at first. Then the price dropped to 400. Mine was 400. The carrier is ATT. Being a blackberry fan, at first I had upgraded to an 8820. I liked it. Then decided it cost to much for service (60 per month). So I took it back to get a curve and found the iPhone service is only 20 per month. So figured it may cost more up front but is cheaper in the long in.

Do all the buttons work on the hack version?

The carrier i went with was Optus, because it gives me the longest time to use my credit. I was with 3 before and lost all my credit every 30 days which annoyed me because some months i wouldn't text or ring that much.

Sorry for posting so late i had problems connecting to this website.

Nic
