Bloody hell Nash, I've been skimming only a few threads lately because it's just so hard to keep up with it all.. Great to see it all coming together...

Yeah its taken a while but getting there, to be honest its great to have another APer here (outbackozzie) to motivate things

Friday i connected the sump and relevant piping, plumbed the grow beds and filled the dirt around sump.

Today was a total loss, went out last night with mates from Kununara who work at El Questo station, ( got home at 3am) I HAVE to go there, these guy's get to look after the whole place over the wet season and catch Barra 250m from their back door, If they were not mates I think I would hate them

I finished all the beds today and will hunt down some gravel tomorrow, sump pump works well and I just have to hook up the tank pump and relative piping to the beds.
The next project is to install some lights as I could still be tinkering out there but to dark now.

I have power :sign7: to the shed this arvo and hooked up the tank pump .
Have pipe work to 4 of the beds and then ran out of pipe :sad6: hopefully tomorrow will have more pipe and finish off the first stage of beds.
Second stage is to add 3 or 4 grow pipes like i have had previously, these will run continuously from main tank and add aeration.
Third stage is adding strawb towers at far end and forth and final is adding 2 to 3 bath tubs under the pipes to take water from towers and grow duckweed.
A bit ahead of myself but pleased with progress so far

Basically completed pipe to GB's this arvo, the tank pump is handling pushing water to all beds but decided to add two taps and separate the pipe work to each stand, this way I can get more control to each of them and when I hook up towers down the track I can do some adjusting.
I changed my mind on the siphons and went with flood/drain because it was just easier at the time and i'm now in the process of measuring water levels to each bed.
I initially made spray bars for the GBs but have the spare fittings to just dump the water into each bed at the end if need be.

The spray bars are a bit high ATM but i will lower them after I get all the beds to fill evenly and for the time being i will get a timer for the tank pump.

I see a dozen or so dead marines lined up along the fence there, take you that long to do all that work...gonna be interesting to see how the number grows when you get to gravel washing

Have a good plan for the Gravel washing. I'll get some pics when it happens.

Les, I don't know what a marine is, but am guessing some kind of alcohol from the pics... At first I thought you meant American Soldiers... Working em to death on his AP system! It did seem a bit far fetched for a joke :-)
