Yep, i assumed 2000L of growbeds and 5000L of water ..2 x 2000L fishtanks and 1000L sump
The 2k bed would handle the ammonia output from 10-20kg fish during cycling easily especially with the larger water volume. The nitrates wouldn`t outrun the bed for a fair while.

Hex most of us don't include the sump tank volume into calculations... it's kind of transitory water... in system.... but not actually supporting fish as such.....

The actual current dimensions of the system is 2,000 liter for fishies, 1,000 liter for sump and 2,000 liters of grow beds which will probably expand to 4,000 liter in the future (this is assuming a 2:1 ratio of fish tank to grow beds)

I do have some larger plants in the green house I can stuff into the grow beds if needed. Things grow so fast here too - pretty much the high for the day is 25 to 27 degrees every day of the year which is about as good as it gets for growth.

Currently I am looking for a person who is very experienced in tropical forestry and a buyer who will work with our suppliers.

And then of course we seem to always need people who chop grass with a machete.

One other position I think is a general mechanic for small engines and who is an excellent welder.

Well - you asked!

The first hurdle is the ability to work here - i.e. work permits which you would never get to do this kind of job. The pay is roughly 2 dollars an hour plus benefits.

Was gonna go "what $2 an hour" but what is the exchange rate between Oz $ and yours?

2 dollars would be in USA dollars - not sure what your exchange rate is. The local currency is the colon - but I didn't bother with that since it isn't as well known.

Besides - there is no point. The law is that Costa Ricans have the right of first refusal over any foreigner. Since they have a pretty good education system here, there isn't much they cannot not do - so the only jobs really are those which require a native speaker of English or on the low end, like swinging a machete.

Yep - I am sure someone will since from what I hear, you aren't really doing aquaponics till you wash your own gravel...
