Stop saying that, please, my concrete apartment windows give on anther "beautiful" other concrete building. The outside room is 2 sqm and in a wind corridor (lots of bugs, plants drying out too fast...) and i'm less than a K of the sea and all i see is concrete blocks...
I'd love to go on the flat roof to do myself a garden but it is illegal so all the "pleasure" i can get from it is that since it flat and old it leaks in my fish/plant room and rots the walls down
I love it...
Would anybody need a young couple to work in australia and support our immigration demand?
I'd love to buy a nice big block of land anywhere where there is still some room for people not to stack themselves one on another.
Anyway it won't last i hope.

Sorry Amacafish,

Those words are actually lyrics to an old 60's TV show about a Lawyer and his wife moving to the country to start a farm...

Funny how some things change and others stay the same... I think even then people were looking of a simpler life.

As for the concrete block, think of it as a transitional period in your life. Remember the best way to achieve a long term goal, is to set achievable short term goals along the way. That way you always feel like your getting somewhere, rather than waiting for the big one. I spent most of my 20's and early 30's paying rent and living in places which I didn't like very much, during that time we saved for our own house. we finally baught a small place near the sea, that was a few years back. We now own the house I spoke off earlier, as well as a couple of investment properties.

You will get there, just don't expect it straight away..

H.
