David sometimes it is better around here to be late.
Think tank situation for brain storming.
Hessian is cheap as chips and does a good job.
The sandwich factor allows the inner most to get quite cold.
Thanks for your input I had not thought of that and will surely need it this summer.
Steve- Does warmer water evap more easily than it's cooler counterpart?

C1, you've put me on the spot now  I should really know this.

Yes i think that the warmer water would evaporate quicker, giving more Kj cooling, however your end point temp would probably be the same, as the extra cooling energy would go back into cooling the water that was warmer to start with.

I'm fairly sure that the only two things that have an impact on endpoint cooling (temp difference) is the ABSOLUTE humidity of the day and the temperature of the air. Relative humidity take into account both of these variables anyway. so you could say that RH is the only important variable. (Barometric pressure also factors, but we'll ignore that one, eh?)

Thats why you find that Evap. collers in high humidity locations are MUCH less efficient than ones in a very DRY (low humidity) location. It also explains why you can have 41C ambient in central OZ and feel more comforable than 31C in Sydney, Your body's evap cooler (sweat :)) works better.

Steve

I have checked out soladome, but hoping to find a spot that sells fish cheaper or bigger or both.

Would anyone be interested in sharing an order of silver perch if a cheaper spot is found?

oh and roughly what quantities would you guys want?

(10,000 – 20,000 18c each (graded if required) that would be nice, less than 20 c per fish....)

i want about 120

I want about 200 fish altogether, but now that the weather is warming up, I'm pretty keen on the cheap local barra supplier at 1.2 cents permm. Anyone?
