glad wrap and a rolling pin!
But there is heaps waste and it goes smelly when exposed to air and looses it sterile state...
Better off as suggested before to just slice a leaf and smear it on.
If it dries out on ya face just add a few drops of water and vwallah
lubed again...Things take a while to become OK and habit formed.
but when your on its all good!
ya might have smooth skin ATM timmy but if ya keep at it aloe will help to keep it that way when your an old bugger!

C1 is right. A slice of leaf is a no-waste applicator.

For added vitamin D, take a bowl of water and a mirror and shave in the outdoor kitchen area, next to the woodfired pizza oven. Then tip the water, stubble & leaf remnants on the garden.

i'm thinking more along the lines of getting the most out of the leaf, since using one whole leaf per shave would mean i'd need 100 or so plants. if you could extract and store the goo, you could harvest them more efficently.

timmy- I use a small section of a leaf prolly a section less than the size of a 50c coin.
I snap a piece off, slice a cross section and squeeze out only the gel(starting at the cut end) or cut off the edges, slice side to side end to end.
If you squash it you will end up with too much goop...
and that will clog your razor!
If a leaf is 120mm long and 25mm wide and about 10mm thick, I would get 2 shaves easy out of it!
The old stuff has too much fibre.
Bottling it has been tried and failed(IMHO)...
