all those examples are played out several times a week around the country.

they need to bring the cane back into schools for sure, kids have this whole "you can't touch me" attitude. it was still around when i was in school, i clearly remember one incident where this kid stole someones calculator and wrecked it, he got the cane and he damn sure didn't touch anyones stuff again as long as we were in school.

just on the meds thin can you comment on this KE?

A close friend of reets mum wasn't feeling herself, got it into her head that she shouldn't be home alone any more. If you ask me it was just a bit of the downs, she was previously active as, day trips, footy, you name it.
Anyway, Dr know best prescribes the anti- D's and MAN  i have never seen such a rapid decline in my life, it was horrible, she turned into a barely talking , need help walking, mess. spent all of chritmas day staring at the wall, could barely get a response. ended up going into an assisted care place that then passed her off to a (cant remember the name now, ajunct to a hospital where the really keep an eye on you) apparently she has done better there........................

All i can see is a near instant 100X decline in everything her when she got on the anti -D's.

i now wonder how many of the vegetave state people in aged care are there and like that BECAUSE of the meds................

*frack* bullshit i tells ya.

Suspect a lot of the medication prescribed in the homes (including mental homes) is probably done more to benefit the staff rather than the patients... bit like giving ritalin to kids, helps the parents cope :grrr:

Quiet docile patients means that the staff aren't so stressed that THEY have to take medication to cope with the job

I am truly happy I live in a less "civilized" nation - I truly am... Though a nation that knows how to live without an army might not be all that uncivilized...

Since I went to school in the 60s, I remember how it was. It was no walk in the park either. Tensions over race were really think and it wasn't just a fist fight you had to worry about - knives were pretty common.

Not saying it isn't pretty strange and out of control now.
