Big corps will have their day...
we will have ours...
I do tend to merge with sleepe on the governing body being the multi nationals though.
They say they are the employers and well they are but help community I think not.
What they are doing is selling resources as fast as they can, dig them up or suck them outta the ground.
Sell them to the highest bidder and bugger anyone that thinks we might need them one day.
Gnash $9m a year is a lot of coin and a lot of tax but that wasn't salary that was handcuffs to join the firm + $10m in stocks his base salary is about 5m,
I guess he would have an interest in minimising his tax eh and in the end pay bugger all...and that is a bank which in my mind are the greatest crims of all...
BHP RIO and the like are vandals every where they go they reek havoc...
Pristeen areas turn to shyte, for what? oh yeh so we can be better off...
Freaks... so when the top ten percent own every thing and the ppl revolt the empires will again crash.
We haven't learnt much but then history doesn't mean squat unless you read the pages of it.
So busy going gangbusters we have missed the point...IMHO
We are here to share our knowlege, wealth, joy, and mother earth to pass on to the following generations--not pollution, deserts, salt ravaged, debt laiden, maintenance requiring, power guzzling, debt driven, mono culture...Ooops bit of a rant.
C1 out
Ok it early here I am designing a system to fit within with the design of our house refirb and it is taxing on the sleep hehehe...
knew it was going to be an issue if I logged on and checked emails...
Was suppost to just click on sketchup that was an hour ago... bye

*frack* weather!

It hardly rained for months, starting the day my tank was plumbed and ready to be filled with rainwater. So I put in 1000L of tap water & some yukky dechlorinator.

Now it won't stop *frack* raining! I've got 9.72m2 of GB area so every 100mm of rain adds 1000L to my tank. Currently it's got 3000L. 2250L is my preferred fill level, but the tank can physically hold 4500L. (Not sure whether the "cliff" will support 4.5 tonne of water though!)

Showers are predicted for the whole of next week. I wonder if this drought/flood pattern of rainfall is normal, or if it's influenced by global warming (aka "climate change" for the politicians amongst us)? It doesn't feel normal, but I've not had such a vested interested in low standard deviations in rainfall before.

& while I'm ranting about *frack* rainfall ... anyone else in Sydney noticed how Warragambah damn levels (pun intended) have more than doubled, starting 3 days after the state government signed a contract to build a $1 billion desalinisation plant!!?? (with my *frack* taxes!)

Arrrgh! Not happy today. Don't know why. Thanks for letting me vent.

Some one once said the government treats its citizens like mushrooms; keep them in the dark and feed them shit. Well, its true for food too. We are importing tons of fish from China. Many traditional methods in china include pumping all your human waste into a pond causing algae to grow out of control and raising fish in the pone who eat the algae.

"Cheffs" say they prefer the fresh pond raised tilipia over tank raised. WTF! I have compared the $hit raised china import fish over tank grown. Tank grown is hands down the best.

Our government could raise all the tax money they needed if they would impose some tariff like they are supposed to and would protect our local markets enough that we would not have to eat shit meat for dinner because wallie-world can make more money buying shit fillets.

But i digress. At least I will be growing my own food. There is no point in waiting for the government to do things right. They will tax us more and we will keep licking china's ass. When you want it done right you have to do it your self.

Don't you have one already?
Shesh I thought everyone had one...Kidding !
Australia used to sell iron ore to the chinese, they like our ore so
much now they bought the company...
Apparently 140 Billion$ has been spent by users of those mine resources to secure
supply into the future, in the last 3 months.
I hate it when I hear goverments selling the farm, well allowing companies to anyway, for crying out loud go and try to buy some land in China and start ripping the hillside down.
What the hell, do they think its renewable?
convince the misses to have a cellar downs stairs vwalla instant shelter.

How about doing this, to drive up the gas price a bit... Then it might become economical to collect the gas from all rigs, instead of burning it off on the not so profitable ones...
btw, I'm agreeing with you - sometimes I'm not that clear :-)

The government will have to have their piece of the pie Delgrade.

The only reason gas is so cheap is because the government cant get their greedy mits on it.

As soon as it becomes the main fuel for cars the government will increase the price tenfold.

I'd like to see the overseas buyers pay what we have to for it, not the ridiculous 3c they get it for. Why should they pay so little?

i know what your saying TimC but surely if we can sell it at 3c to over seas we can use it domesticly and still have a tax on it at a reasonable price for the consumer
