Yeah I know jim, but I don't.
I have an almost built 44gallon drum smoker, pics will come when it's fin.
Thing is, webber trays fit 44 gallon drums perfectly.
so half my design made to sit atop a webber would be great, albeit a tough high...

What about 30 or so 1metre live eels that some body might just drop off to get smoked it takes about 3 days on your own and about 1 day to get rid of the lot when they all turn up to claim the rewards. i know i have been down that road. :|

yeah that's why I want the big drumm, so i can fit eels, or a pig inside.
Still hoping to find a supplier for elvers. I asked a while back, and got some positive maybe in the future responses, but no1 who sells them now.

But you made a mistake.
The miller takes 1 bag in 3 to grind your flour, the butcher takes 1 cow in 2 to butcher it for you, I take 1 eel in 2 to smoke em, don't you worry :-)

Hey Jim, I trust you didn't post your address, I didn't see it, and frankly I wouldn't :-) So would you mind PMing us? it'd be a shame if we couldn't make it :-)

PS do you drink Red Wine or White? Dry or sweet?

I am still interested in coming out to have a look. I am moving house sometime soon and don't know when the settlement date is yet (trying to bring it forward) so when I find that out I will be able to confirm 100%.

A couple of things to think about, that we can discuss on Sunday:

Group purchase of the organic silver perch food from Queensland, as discussed in the fish food thread.

Members silver perch requirements later this year. I am considering spawning my breeders. If I have an idea of how many I could easily offload say November/December, it will make my will I/won't I decision a lot easier.
If I get enough firm interest, I will def spawn them over the next month or so. I would expect to have them around the 60-70mm come later in the year. Pricing will be around the $1 ea plus freight, preferably in lots of 100. I envisage grading them several times and the fish will be sold shooters first on a first ordered basis and only to ppl on the board here. Rest assured they will be high quality and in good nick when delivered.

Have a think about these things and look fwd to seeing you all Sunday.

Sad to say I won't be able to make it as DH is ill.

In regards to TT's post I defiantly would like some organic silver perch food, and I 'd be interested in fingerings if you spawn them. :D

TT if you (unlike most farms from the gist I've been getting) can supply fingerlings at a minimum of 50mm, then I'll be up for some more by then I would expect, wouldn't you? (question regarding growout time of mine)

I can personally vouch for TT's ability to deliver in good nick, quantities up to 400. But am sure he could manage more.
I have not lost a single one (to natural causes) since he delivered.

You got my support mate!
