Are round Tanks better for fish or can rectangular tanks be used, (I think i know wherei can get a 1500L & 3000L rectangular tank) they are made of HDPE and were made to be used as large commercial waste bins, (these are rejects)

If they are OK it will help reduce the cost.

Thanks!

So I guess you can take that as a "yes rectangular will be ok". One thing with rectangular tanks you have to watch out for, they might be fine for solid wastes but when they get liquid in them, they bow the sides out rather badly.. Just worth keeping in mind..

A rectangular tank as a precaution when you load it up with water have a brace across the narrow part[Long side] of the tank..

Other than that go for it..

That would work out good..

Make the frame.. and Partially Bury the tank to help keep the water temp Stable..
- Have you started to work on the design of the whole system..

Please make sure you have a real Good Look at the design..
- Look at the positions of growbeds..

-- > 2 for how you are going to feed water to the growbeds and also drain the growbeds..
- So Look out how you are going to run your Pipe work..

Are you going to include a sump..

also a photo of the area where you plan to build..

Hey I'm Nosey.. and I found some mistakes in my system that I can't exactly fix at this stage..

Do it right once..
