I have a few small leaks in the middle of the ibc where the hole is.

I want to cut a piece of plastic and silicon that and push it over the hole on the inside. Do you think silicon will hold this or is there anyway i can fix it in place? (stainless steal nut/bolt might rush and zip ties will)

Any ideas guys?

Nylon nuts, bolts and washers... should be available from the big 'B' store.

Still put silicone under the patch, then tighen up the nylon nuts and bolts. Make sure everything is nice and dry first, maybe even clean the area with metho first, this will clean off any grease etc that would stop the silicone from adhering, and it will evaporate off any water. Once repaired, don't fill the tank to the patch level for at least 24hrs if possible.

Make sure the bolts are stainless steel

Give the spot where the silicone is a rough up with a wire brush

I fixed a number of holes in my IBCs by using a sheet of PVC that is sort of flexible (I believe they are used for lining showers) and siliconing the patch on. It's been over a month and the patch is holding up great.

Is that sticky tap on top of it?
