Would a float switch be a better solution for you?

you can get digital ones that do 1min times
or you could run two timers what ever mins apart you need
say first one kicks in and turns the power to pump while the other is half way though a 15 min setting ?
if you get what i mean

I don't know the specifics, just know they can turn things (eg pumps) on and off depending on water level.

Also just read through your system thread but dont know where or why you have a second pump :dontknow: and why you need a timer or possibly a float switch. Can you give more information?

Edit: just re read your first post in this thread. What about installing a T and diverting some of the water the more powerful pump moves back to the fish tank?

DO NOT DEPEND on Two Mechanical timers holding their sync if you try to off set them.

I would say probably diverting some of the water from a more powerful pump is the better solution. However, if you want a timer that can do some set time period on the off and repeat, you want to look for a repeat cycle timer.
Here is an example.

Or most mechanical timers are 15 minute interval... why not just set 15 on / 15 off....

Diverting the extra flow back to the fish tank is probably the best idea...

whats wrong with the beds running CF for a little while....

Most of my systems iv installed fill the GB in around 8mins and then it CF's for 7mins then drains for 45

plus i have abour 1/3 of the water diverting back to the FT to make a swirl.
