I have found some 65 W solar panels which are going for $250 each a real bargin. The guy has got 10 of them so I was considering picking up the whole lot. I am going to look at them today. I am not sure if they are polycrystaline or amorphous. Ammorphous panels gradually lose power over time so I will consider it if they are. Need to check for cracks and loose seals etc.

I am very excited though. 650W could power my shed, my ponds and an aquaponics setup... FREE!

That sounds pretty good. Keep us informed of your progress.
But $2,500 for the whole lot, how do you get that past the minister for finance?

I inherited a solar panel this year, but we didn't have a need for it at that time, so I sold it

Elections for a new minister are on at the moment... the current absence of a financial representative is what allows me to have this kind of money.

Yep, there a winner alright. Got ten 60W (Not 65W) panels really good nick, then picked up 2, practically new 80W panels with stainless steel pole mount, got him to give them to me fo $250 aswell. So the whole lot $3000. Promised one mate I'd give him two. But the rest.... they're mine allllll mine.... my precious-es! (LOTR fans wll get that). Pick them up tommorrow. Need the cash and the trailer!

I was soooo luck too. They ut in the Quokka (Newspaper) and had to tke the phone off the hook. Another guy rocked up 5 mins after the deal, wanting he whole lot too, I was geting ready for a fight :) . Then another as I was leaving. I half expected my car to be keyed. Moral of the story don't advertise solar panels in the quokka!

I am not sure, I knew about them through word of mouth. I checked on the net this morning but couldn't find them. I can safely say there will be a lot of dissapointed readers..... Sorry if any of them read this... too slow :) ... nah seriously!
