I have cut my IBC so there is a 600L FT and 400L sump. Now with the sump i have the screw on "lid" for the IBC but there is still a 5-7cm hole in the lid. Anyone know how to seal that up?

silicon.

tape a piece of plastic over the hole to support the silicon as it dries. Put the silicon on in thin layers and allow to dry between coats. If you fill the hole up all in one go, the middle of the silicon will never cure. Once the hole is filled enough, remove the plastic backing and silcone that side also.

If you have the piece of IBC that you drilled out, you can use it to help fill the hole. If not, just take your time over a period of days to make sure it all cures.

I have lots of holes in mine I have fixed this way.

Or make a IBC patch out of a trashed one. Do it like a tyre patch.

Silicone is awesome :headbang:

I orginally tried patching mine using silicone and an old tupperware lid cut up as a patch...silicon did not stick well to the tupperware, and it eventually pealed off - but it left a nice round piece of silicon behind as a patch. Kitchen and bath silicon seems to stick very well to the IBC and has not leaked yet.
