Is it better to get pressure pipes rated for higher pressure than lower ones or in the AQ settings it wont ever max out PN6?

Im going to be running 4000l/h pump

The choice as I understand it is pressure vs stormwater pipes.

This is mostly due to sizing of connections.

In AP your not going to bust the PVC with pressure, especially with gravity feeding.

I chose pressure as this is easier to look for parts and offers some protection against being stepped on.

PN6 and PN9 are just pressure ratings in Bar
In smaller fittings often they only make PN9

Storm or DWV are the other options but only in sizes over40mm I think for DWV, and only 90mm in Storm
If your running 4000 lph, look to pipe sizes 40-50mm or youll have significant loss in flow and head delivered.
No problem with DWV, just range of fittings not quite as big. Much cheaper though.

Pn6 pressure pipe is available but is expensive because it is not a standard category. Dwv is rated at pn6 and will stand an equivilent head of pressure of about 60m of water.

So unless your pump can lift water to a height of 60m pn6 or dwv will be fine.

If any one knows the rating of storm water pipe I'd be keen to know.
