Hi all, I received my turtle sequencer yesterday and set it up. I imagine the big hole is from the pump and the 4 little holes are to wherever. But water gushes out of the 4 outlet holes at the same time. I am using the pondmax 3000 that came with my original BYAP system. Is this powerful enough. Either the turtle is not working (altho there does not seem to be a lot to go wrong with it) or I do not have enough water pressure to force the diaphragm onto the casing. Hoping to get some input before Monday so I can solve it this weekend before work interupts my life for another week. John |

The Pondmax only pumps about 1600l/h @ 1mtr of head.... not sure of your piping and restrictive forces.... but I'd say the pump just isn't strong enough... You really need at least 2000l/h minimum... at whatever head you have... probably more like 3000l/h... Email me some pics of your setup, or call me ... and I'll see if we can work around it.... Make sure you're taking off from the pump outlet with 25mm pipe... to maximise your flow... If you're using 19mm.... it will reduce your flow by at least a third.... |

Thanks Rupert ofOZ, I figured as much, the pump is restricted to 19mm and is pushing up about 750mm of head. When it goes to cycles from the sump tank to the main tank it will be pushing thro 12m of 40mm pipe so I think I may just go find me a better pump. After taking your advise about having too many fish for my grow beds and also losing marron due to hot weather I have installed a second BYAP grow bed, with 3 blue tub beds to follow tomorrow for water mellon and passionfruit. I also installed a remote 3000l fish tank under a shady tree about 12 metres away. The original 1000l tank is now a sump tank. Oh and I did not go out and buy more fish. So I need the turtle to cycle thro 3 beds, and also to cycle between fish tank and sump tank. I shall install a bigger pump tomorrow and get back to you. Best wishes from York where it's 40 bloody degrees already. J |

Around 4000lph flow is the minimum for the spiders, anything less and they tend to dribble a bit. |
