Hi folks. I am completely new to this stuff and so am asking a pretty basic question re pumps- apologies ahead of time. Was wondering about the strength of pump required for a 4000-5000 litre fish tank system. Does ALL this water need to be changed continuously - ie 5000l/hr pump (more? less?) operating 24hrs per day ? Also was wanting to get some sort of solar pump but looks like nothing will operate continuously - any advice on this? May thanks.

It is prefered that you turn over the volume of the FT every hour so you would need a 5000L/Hr pump to achive this. This is very high flow for a solar powered pump and would be very expensive.
