Could always paint the outside white....and shade it ...in the winter the black would help you heat the water a little Is it food grade safe ?? |

Just doing the conversion....my tank from BYAP cost around $700 . Its a 3 Kl . So your tank doesn't really seem like that great of a bargan . Maybe compare prices with a rp, closest to you first fr a good price comparision...IMHO |

Don't think it would matter what colour tank you had with those temps, you have basically three choices in the ground, insulate it or put it in a shed or greenhouse. |

I think Rupert of Oz , is a rep. Ok option 1 : phone the main shop in Western Australia.. and talk directly with Joel and Faye..that's what they do for a living and all prices are more than reasonable, shop around and compare .9 out of 10 times they are the most competitive. 08 9 414 9334 option 2 : by the one your already looking at...that isn't guarantee'd and blah blah blah, your not holding fish as such, but growing them out....I think that is a big difference when it comes to tank qualities. And maybe the most important when it comes to having fish from a small fingerling through to a mature size. 3 Kl = 3 000 Lt |

Actually $300 for a 1300L tank delivered is a pretty darn good price... and I wouldn't be able to better it... especially with delivery... Bushman tanks are mainly for rainwater storage... but the one you mention is probably a stock wtaering trough... Regardless ... it's probably made from "food grade" "UV stabilised" poly... so it should be fine... If in doubt... ask the rep ... specifically... "is it UV stabilised... and food grade".... IMO, it will be... |

Black is good, as it wont let too much light in, you wont have the algae problems some of us with IBCs do. |
