I'm on the lookout for a new pump, and have decided on a Tornado. Anyone know where to get them in Brisbane (or delivered before Easter)?

These guys no longer can source Tornado pumps.

BTW, are Tornado and Jebao the same thing?

Also, anyone know the difference between the JPP and JFP series of Jebao pumps?

I'm thinking of getting the 8000 or 10000 model, as soon as I can work out if they're any good.

Jebao is the 'manufacturer', tornado is the type.

These pumps are identical with other manufacturers pumps, they just put different cages on them.

Main thing to look for when comparing pumps is water flow at your head height, and wattage.

How about this one - half the price of a Jebao, but maybe not even half as good?

Hi Bree - These are the pumps I'm looking at, probably the 10000 - Could you tell me where abouts on the site the float switches are listed? I'd like to have a look at what type they are.

Thanks
James

Slighty OT (in relation to my last post) does any one have any links to float switches which can be used with ordinary (pond) pumps (standard 240V plug)?

Ry - ""Power consumption & voltage: 230W (1/3 HP) 240V""
Thats why its half the price, it uses twice the power. Still an ok pump, just expensive to run. I wont go back from Tornado style pumps now. The tornado's are silent too.

Look at this one, or its 12,000 brother. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-Jebao-JPP-6000-Wet-Dry-Water-Pump-2-Years-Warranty_W0QQitemZ370125980958QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Pet_Supplies?hash=item370125980958&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
