Found worms in the pump that caused the pump to stop

Never heard of that before... Must be a fairly small pump is it?

Are they really really tiny red worms that live in mucky even anaerobic water? Or are they the larger composting worms that normally live in the growbeds but can survive in well aerated water?

Most of us remove the foam sponge filters on small pumps because they will clog up with fish poo and stop the pump. if there is a fabric filter bag on that little pump, then I suspect I would clog up and stop the pump in any case pretty quick. Just kinda odd to hear that it is stopped up with worms :?: :!: :?:

Want pics
