came across this site whilst looking for a way to build an all seasons green house

http://www.shadycharacters.com.au/go.html

In "Products" they have "Shady Sheds" and "Smart Shades", also click on "Photo Gallery" and it gives some shots of erections (go for it AM).

Getting some prices, basically a frame and then use shade cloth for summer and greenhouse plastic for winter

Reply from Shady sheds:
"Thanks for your inquiry, the S6 3430mm x 6000mm x 2400mm kit price is $2650.00 plus $110.00 freight. The smart shade is $2490.00 plus $110.00 freight. Any other questions send your phone number and we will call you."

This wasn't what I was expecting, should be able to do it much cheaper than that

look at one ofthe camping places, can't remember which it's called, it's one in Brisbane...capming something..I'll look at the catalogue when I get home. They've got a car port shade lcoth thing and there are side shade cloth bits you can buy from them. Initial cost approx 300 shade cloth sides = 140 ish

ahh was that the orginal problem. I'd wondered what would happen. I'm tempted to weld a support frame to the inside of it.

We're building a carport type of thing to cope with warm days in winter and roasting days in summer.
It will have green house film on the roof and shadecloth over the tank, with bird netting sides.
All the timber and steel for construction are from the demo yard.
I can find the supplier for the greenhouse film if you're interested. I think they have a dealer in Brisvegas.

Yep - I've been looking at carports as well, looks like I will be heading for the local demo yards, thing is it is basically only a metal frame and I thought it would be a reasonable price

I used duratough. Make sure you have the right side on the inside especially with drunk idiots helping the construction, my front wall is backwards...

How did I find it.....

They want twice what the plastic is worth for the fixings to fix it on.
The fine print on the gaurantee is a whole page.
No way your gaurantee will stick it's complete bulls***.
Their company is obsessed with selling me a 1/4 acre greenhouse, but can't give me a price on screws (but 5 e-mails regarding large sale)

I'll never deal with redpath again.

But it is good plastic.

thinking an alternative is to replace a couple of roof sheets in the garage to that "see through" stuff and allocate a 6m * 3m (20' * 10') area to AP, follow MF's lead :munky2:
