For the people in WA
What submersible pumps have you used and where did you get them.

Ones that have been good and ones that have been not so good.

I see that Joel has used the Ebara pumps, any ideas where he has got them from.

Steve did you end up trying one of Murry's blue Italian pumps?

James

Not yet, fizzyj, but i will.

I decided on that pump when i closely inspected it at a plumbing store, the weather is almost warm enough for me to go nuts on large uncovered grow beds, and as soon as that happens i'll be hooking up with MUZ.

Fizzy J,
I have had a good number of the pumps go through here already and they look really good, I will have another couple of types (same Italian manufacturer) by the end of this week. freight free to WA
Even the el-cheepo stainless china-pump looks really good, not freight free though on that one sorry.

Murry,
I don't mind getting one of the expensive pumps to pump the water out of the (probably) 4000L fish tank into about 8 of the blue drums cut in half.

I will then have them draining into a full size blue drum for which I think I could get away with a smaller pump as it sounds like this will be switching on and off quite frequently if the pump has a high flow rate.

I will wait for your new pumps to show up as it will be about 10 days before my tank arrives (drums come today).

Will the new pumps have float devices on them?

Cheers
FJ

Hi Fizzy J,
If you want a pump with a float switch attached - order Auto - without float switch attached order a pump which says - Manual
