I am just plumbing in the pvc on my growbeds (see picture below). In Joel's book, he describes a larger growbed system in which the spacing of the holes is 15 to 30cm. what would be ideal in the barrel system? I was thinking that the spacing Joel describes would not allow enough irrigation on the grow bed and was thinking maybe 30 to 50mm

It will make little difference if your using flood and drain.. though on such a small grid, you do need them closer together to get the water out into the barrel.. Every 50mm would be fine.. |

In my glasshouse system i am using beds that size and f&d and just pump it in one end and drain out the other[been running 12 months no problem |
