Hi all, Where can I procure ~2m of 19mm beva tubing? I need some for my (battery backup - emergency aeration) bilge pump. |

Why beva tubing Scottie?? .... isn't that clear or white tubing... concerned about possible algael build up.... You can get 19mm "soft" poly tubing from hydroponic shops fairly cheaply... they'll cut to length. |

Is poly tubing fish safe Rupe? The tubing I use will be constantly immersed in the FT, so I don't want any chemicals leaching out & into the fish ... & eventually into me. |

The old hoary chestnut..... it's HDPE... polythylene... so as safe as a plastic can be I guess (for those that may have doubts).... same stuff that other "food grade" products are manufactured from  It will resist acidicy.... hence it's use in hydroponic systems.... and isn't that different from most liners including those used in "potable" water supplys, fish ponds/dams and other peoples AP systems.... Posted somewhere else a study done on pond liners that should no readable leaching effects even after several years immersion. |

Ok, thanks. So where can I buy poly pipe? Not many hydroponics shops around here. Is there an on-line supplier perhaps? |

Not far from Hornsby. (~25km NW of Sydney) I used to drive past a Hydroponics shop on my way to work!! But it closed down a few years ago ... long before I got the AP bug. pre-AP-itis you could say. |

Help - I've been Googlebutting (Googling my butt off!) & I cannot find any suitable 19mm tubing anywhere! I can't find any online hydro store selling HDPE poly, or find a supplier of 19mm beva tube. |
